I was thrilled to participate at the Corpus Christi procession and the 100th Anniversary of Corpus Christi Parish down in the Niles neighborhood of Fremont on June 22. There were over 500 people in the procession – they were altar boys, choir, flags, the Knights of Columbus… It was a great way to honor our Lord, as He and we walked through the streets of the town of Niles.
People came out of Starbucks to take pictures. The baristas and waiters with their aprons came up and bowed their heads, people in their cars made the sign of the cross as they pulled to the side of the road as the procession of our Lord came by with the police escort. It just brought so much joy to me, as did the Eucharistic celebration we had afterwards.
Congratulations to Corpus Christi Church on their 100th Anniversary!
